Each district and foundation officer serves a 1-year term, elected by their respective boards. In addition, the foundation board appoints an Executive Secretary and Treasurer annually.
Each division of Capital District of Kiwanis elects a director to the foundation board to ensure we hear all voices in the district. Each director serves a 4-year term (end of term noted in parentheses).
The foundation supports causes that positively effects the children of the world. Every Kiwanian in the Capital District is a member of the Capital District Kiwanis Foundation.
This month, CDKF Board Member Don Dudley presented the CDKF annual donation of $3,000 to Rose Bevilacqa of the Hospital Foundation at Nemours Children's Health.
The funds will be used to support their garden program which is maintained by the Nemours Estate employees for the benefit of the children of the hospital. The food grown here goes to families of children in the hospital who are in need of assistance for the needs of the families. Nemours treats children ages prenatal to 18 years of age. Once they turn 18, if possible, they will be transferred to the Christinia hospital in Newark, DE about 5 miles from this hospital.
Our support of our Capital District pediatric trauma centers would not be possible without the support of our donors. Thank you for helping us support these life changing facilities! ... See MoreSee Less

Today, we want to share with you what the Kiwanis Club of Font Royal was able to accomplish with their grant money. They helped E. Wilson Morrison Elementary School upgrade their playground, positively impacting all the children in their community ❤️
