The Capital District Kiwanis Foundation is proud to launch our new mini-grant program. This new program has several advantages for clubs:
Shorter application.
Less funding required from other sources.
Shorter decision period.
Faster distribution of funds. Grant recipients will receive funds within two (2) weeks of the applicant’s acceptance.
Mini-Grant Guidelines
Mini Grants are awarded to clubs in good standing in the Capital District that express a need for funds by completing the Mini Grant application in full. On line applications will be accepted October 15 through March 31.
Two (2) members of the Executive Board and one (1) Regional Director selected by the Foundation President will review the applications and deem it acceptable in accordance with the guidelines provided herein.
Mini Grant requests must be for $750 or less. Only one (1) Mini Grant may be issued to any club per year.
Mini Grants will be awarded in the order received until funds are depleted. Applications received by the 1st of each month will receive a decision via email by the 15th of the same month and funds will be dispensed within 15 days thereafter if approved.
Preference in awarding Mini Grants is given to clubs that have supported the Foundation through Annual Club Donation, Sustained Giving, or any purchased recognition award such as Life Member in the Foundation.
A Mini Grant Completion report must be submitted to the Foundation Executive Secretary within 45 days of the end of the project.
